#AMEinreallife Mightier Print

It is always so fun to see my work in it's home it was intended to be or bought for.  The original person I designed the 'mightier print' for was Scott's cousin.  She was going to use it in her son's big-boy room which is nautical themed.  Since we got a chance to go to Charleston and visit them, I finally got to see my work in it's home! So flattering!

The print is one of my best sellers and is available for purchase here in my shop.

Julia Child Calligraphy and Watercolor Print

I have a new print in my shop!  We needed something to fill a large frame in our kitchen and I didn't love a lot of what I was finding online.  So I took out my watercolors and painted some rosemary I found in our garden and put one of my favorite quotes in calligraphy.  The print is 8x10 and can be found here!

Watercolor Calligraphy Thank You Cards

Another one of those, I should have thought of that sooner items I just listed in my shop.  My sister called me one day and said she had been shopping and looking for some thank you cards and couldn't find any that she loved so she asked me to make her some. I immediately said yes and we got to work designing a bunch of different colors and ideas for cards. 

She decided on wanting the card to say 'Thank You' instead of 'Thanks' but I think they both look so great that I thought I would include them both.  Right now I am selling the cards individually, but if anyone was interested, I could sell them in sets.  I also can offer custom colors if you don't love the swatches (and I also have some colors that aren't shown!)- jus send me an email or message.

Watercolor Calligraphy 'You Are My Sunshine' Print

I designed a beautiful new print for my shop! My cousin is updating her son's nursery/ big boy room and wanted the song 'You Are My Sunshine' written out in calligraphy.  Since I have started working with a lot of watercolor (and loving it!) I decided to watercolor a gradient from red to orange to yellow and have it peak through the calligraphy words. The outcome is so beautiful!

She asked for the print to be made really large so that it was the focal point on the wall.  I printed it on 11x14 white card stock printed here in the USA.  It would slip into a 16x18 frame perfectly and have a beautiful mat framing it.

Gandhi Calligraphy Quote

This piece was originally done for Scott's aunt who loved the verse and wanted it in calligraphy to hang in her office.  She said the quote has always been an inspiration to her.

Follow Your Heart

I finally got around to adding the finishing touches to a personal project I have been working on.  When I was making the watercolor calligraphy cards for A Color Workshop, I was testing some watercolor ideas and originally didn't like these swatches together...  I said they looked "too shorbet-y".  As I went along working and listening to the Bon Iver pandora station, a song came on that kept repeating follow your heart and could not help but smile because not only was I following my heart by painting and calligraphing for a great friend but that quote means so much to me and would look perfect on my watercolor outtake.  I'm so happy with how it turned out and plan on framing it soon and hanging in my office to always remind myself.

Mightier Calligraphy Print

This is one of those pieces that I can't stop staring at.  Scott's cousin contacted me to write out a bible verse for her son's big boy room.  She was going to do it nautical theme but didn't want something too babyish. I sketched out this design and fell head over heels with it.  Let me explain something, I love everything I do.  As a creative though you have this feeling that you can keep doing it better, that it just isn't right.  I am continually learning and know that I still have a lot to learn but once I drew this piece up I sat and stared at it, and then stared some more.  I finally felt like I am going in a direction that I love and am so so proud of and my heart was happy.  

The above picture shows the raw calligraphy version I sent her.  I used a deep blue ink and love how the different shades of blue dried to give for light and dark areas, I feel like it really is a good connection with the waves and ocean theme of the verse.  I am offering the above print in my shop.  It is made to order and will look similar to the one above, but will be a one of a kind since I calligraphy it once you order it.  It measures 8x10 and on thick white card stock.  I think this print would look great in any part of your home, in a child's room or nursery, any nautical themed room or a nautical themed party!

I then went ahead and scanned in the original print to be able to offer people a digital version of the original calligraphy print.  This print still measures 8x10 and is printed in the US on 100% recycled white thick card stock in a deep blue ink.  It is ready to ship and looks great framed in a 11x17! 

'Trust In The Lord' Calligraphy Print

Scott's cousin had this brilliant idea for a prayer board where she will write down prayers of things on their hearts and display them in their bedroom. She wanted something to hang beside it and we decided to calligraphy her favorite verse so she could frame it.  It was one of those projects where I had to write the verse over and over to make sure I sent her the best possible version and am so happy now to have this verse engraved in my brain.  Before I sent the verse off to her I scanned it into my computer and edited it to make a print which I am now offering through my shop. 

The print measures 8x10 and is printed on 100% recycled thick white card stock paper (150#) and looks absolutely beautiful framed in a 11x17.

I am so excited to announce that I now have a couple prints available of my most recent calligraphic prints I have done.

One of the prints is of the one bible verse above and was originally designed and calligraphed for my cousin's son's big-boy room. She was going for a nautical theme without something too babyish and we both just love how it turned out.  I will also be doing a post about offering hand calligraphic options of this print soon, but if you can't wait you can see them here in my shop.

The other print I am offering is from another calligraphic print I made for another cousin. She requested something to hang next to her prayer board and decided on this verse. The print is also printed in the US on 100% recycled paper on white thick card stock and measures 8x10. Black ink.
